Flashcard Detection
Memnook includes a system that automatically detects potential flashcards within the notes you create. This feature helps you turn your notes into a more interactive and efficient study tool. The system periodically scans your notes to identify content that matches specific criteria for flashcards.
Types of Flashcards Detected
1. Blank Flashcards
A blank flashcard is created when a paragraph contains multiple bold or italic words (or both). The system automatically detects these paragraphs and suggests them as flashcards.
-
Criteria:
- Paragraphs containing multiple bold or italicized words will be tracked as blank flashcards.
- The system is smart enough to avoid detecting flashcards for paragraphs where all words are bold or italicized.
-
Additional Notes:
- The system detects blank flashcards not only in regular paragraphs but also inside other objects like list items or paragraphs within toggle blocks. All of these are considered valid paragraphs in the system.
Note: If you notice that an unexpected flashcard has been generated, please share your feedback. Your input will help us improve the product.
2. Front-and-Back Flashcards
Memnook can also detect toggle blocks and automatically treat them as front-and-back flashcards. The text you see when the toggle block is collapsed is tracked as the front of the flashcard, while the content revealed when expanded becomes the back.
- Criteria:
- Toggle summary (the text shown when collapsed) becomes the front of the flashcard.
- The system will not create flashcards for empty toggle blocks, ensuring only meaningful content is detected.
Key Points
- Flashcards are detected based on specific formatting (bold, italic, toggle blocks).
- If the system detects any flashcards you didn’t intend to create, we welcome your feedback to improve detection.
- The system tracks paragraphs in all types of content blocks, including lists and toggles, so no content is missed.
