DocumentationFlashcard Level
Flashcard Level
Memnook uses a smart and adaptive system to determine the level of a flashcard after each study session. While the exact formula is complex, here are the key variables that influence the level change:
Factors Affecting Flashcard Level Updates
-
Current Level (Before Answering)
- The higher the current level, the greater the impact on level changes.
-
Last Studied At Time
- Older cards have a higher impact when studied, as spaced repetition principles prioritize reviewing older material.
-
Study Action Taken
- Add to Queue → Applies a penalty since you were unsure about the answer. This may lower or keep the level the same.
- Finish → Increases the level, but the amount of increase depends on other variables.
How It Works
All these factors are processed through a formula designed to align with optimal study and repetition practices. This ensures that:
- Frequently forgotten cards are shown more often.
- Well-known cards appear less frequently.
- Your study sessions remain efficient and effective.
